January 13: Application Deadline for Outbound Exchange Program (non-Mainland) for 2025-2026 Academic Year

1. The application for the Non-Mainland Exchange Program for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 is now open until January 13, 2025.

*Please read the guidelines regarding the application and the attachments carefully before submitting your application.

2. Exchange Period: Fall/Winter 2025 and Spring/Summer 2026

From August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026, covering the Fall/Winter 2025 and Spring/Summer 2026 terms abroad.

3. Application Deadline: 3:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2025.

* Application criteria, quotas, language proficiency requirements, and academic performance standards are provided for reference only. The final requirements will adhere to the latest announcements from the partner universities.

4. Application Documents:

  • Application Form (Attachment 1): Shall be completed electronically, printed, and signed by parents, advisors, and department supervisors. Electronic signatures are accepted.
  • Transcript (Chinese version): Including academic records over the years, class size, and ranking in class. Submit one original and one photocopy; the original will be returned after verification.
  • Transcript (English version): Including GPA (presented in original scoring format) and ranking in class. Submit one original and one photocopy; the original will be returned after verification.
  • Proof of Foreign Language Proficiency: Tests taken within the past two years; submit one original and one photocopy. The original will be returned after verification. Campus-based TOEIC results are not accepted. For IELTS, only academic scores are accepted.
  • Enrollment Certificate (English version)
  • Parental Consent Form (Attachment 2)
  • Study Plan: Includes a resume and an autobiography, written in both Chinese and a foreign language, with at least 1,000 words each. The format is self-determined.
  • Health Declaration Form (Attachment 3)
  • Additional Supporting Documents

(1) An English recommendation letter from an NCUE faculty member (format is self-determined). The letter should be written for the student's first-choice exchange university and can either be sealed and submitted by the student or sent to the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs via official correspondence.

(2) Proof of enrollment in English-taught courses (with syllabus attached).

(3) Documents providing evidence of specific awards or achievements, or certificates for participation and awards in international competitions.

* Students receiving public funding through the Teacher Training Program are advised to consult the Teacher Training Center for the relevant procedures.

5. Submission Method (Incomplete applications will not be accepted):

  • The Application Form must be signed and stamped by the parent, advisor, department director, and college dean (either original or electronic stamp/signature). The Application Form and all attachments (page-numbered according to the checklist at the bottom of the Application Form) should be scanned into one PDF file, with the Application Form placed at the front.
  • Submit the electronic file to outgoing@gm.ncue.edu.tw (File name: [First-choice University’s Country_School Name_Student’s Name]), and include the following information in the email: student’s name, department and year of study, and phone number at the end of the email.
  • Once completed, fill out the Google form: https://forms.gle/otaTRwh2ZkHAWwbH7.
  • Submit one hard copy of the original application form with all required signatures from the parent, advisor, and department head (electronic signatures are accepted, and any falsification will be the responsibility of the applicant). Attachments may be printed double-sided and submitted in a transparent file folder (no binding required).
  • Submission address: For university-level selection, submit to the International Office (4th floor, Baisha Building), Attn: Ms. Min-xuan Xie, extension 5125. For department/college-level selection, submit to the respective department or college office contact person.

6. Application for MoE’s "Study Abroad Scholarships" (for students with Taiwanese citizenship only): The regulations for this year’s scholarships will be announced at a later date. You may refer to last year's announcement for reference.

*The University's annual selection process is typically held every February, with selected students going abroad in the following "academic year" (including Fall and Spring semesters).

Due to schedule adjustments, the annual selection will return to being held only once every year in February (there will be no selection session in September after this one). Please note that if you wish to go abroad in the second semester of 2025, you must apply during this selection period.
